As the organisation continues to grow, they are seeking an experienced 2nd Class Welder / Workshop Labourer to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis.

This is a mixed role involving both welding and general workshop and labouring duties, with welding forming part of the work rather than the sole focus.

• Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 3:30pm
• 38 hours per week

Duties

• MIG welding, oxyacetylene cutting, and plasma cutting (as required)
• Maintenance and repair of ISO shipping containers
• General workshop labouring, including heavy lifting and material handling
• Cleaning, preparation, and basic fabrication support tasks
• Use of hand and power tools
• Reading and interpreting basic drawings and instructions
• Supporting qualified welders and workshop staff
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised work environment

Requirements

• Previous experience in welding and/or workshop labouring roles
• Basic MIG welding skills (not a full-time welding position)
• Ability to read and follow instructions and basic drawings
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and repetitive labouring tasks
• Confident using hand and power tools
• Reliable work ethic and positive attitude
• Ability to pass a welding test (basic level)
• Driver’s licence and reliable transport
• Confined space and working at heights tickets (desirable, not essential)
