We have partnered with a leading industrial gas and engineering company, who are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join their Cairns office in a permanent full-time position. Our client specialises in the supply of compressed and bulk gases, chemicals and equipment and develop safe and sustainable solutions for their long standing customers. This is an exciting opportunity to work with an established company with a built up portfolio of customers!

About the Role:

  • Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm
  • Salary: 85k + Super + Car + Tech - negiotable based on expertise
  • Manage and grow an existing portfolio of customers across the Cairns and Far North Queensland region.
  • Develop long-term relationships with clients through regular site visits, account reviews, and ongoing customer support
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities
  • Conduct face-to-face sales meetings and calls to maximise revenue opportunities and maintain engagement
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, supply agreements, and contract renewals
  • Promote product range and provide product advice
  • Maintain accurate customer records, sales pipelines, call cycles, and forecasting data using CRM systems
  • Resolve customer issues, supply concerns, and account queries
  • Re-sign and renegotiate customer contracts

About You:

  • Previous experience in account management, territory sales, business development, or B2B sales
  • Previous experience using CRM systems
  • Exposure to industrial, construction, manufacturing, welding, engineering, mining, transport, or trade environments is desired but not essential
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills
  • Able to work autonomously and prioritise tasks
