Our client who specialises in asbestos removal, demolition and soil remediation across industrial, commercial and residential sectors is seeking non-friable class b asestos removalists for their project in Wallsend.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely remove and dispose of non-friable (Class B) asbestos-containing materials in accordance with legislation and company procedures.
• Set up and dismantle asbestos removal work areas, including exclusion zones and signage.
• Wear and maintain the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE).
• Follow Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), asbestos removal control plans and workplace procedures.
• Conduct decontamination procedures for personnel, equipment and work areas.
• Complete site documentation, including daily records and asbestos removal paperwork.
• Assist with general demolition and labouring duties where required.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment.
• Adhere to all Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) policies and environmental regulations.

About You

• Current Class B (Non-Friable) Asbestos Removal Licence or recognised competency.
• Previous experience in non-friable asbestos removal.
• Current White Card (Construction Induction Card).
• Strong understanding of asbestos removal legislation and safe work practices.
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual labour.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work well within a team.
• Current driver's licence and reliable transport (preferred).

Highly Regarded

• Asbestos Supervisor Licence.
• Working at Heights ticket.
• Confined Space ticket.
• EWP, forklift or other construction-related licences.
• Demolition or civil construction experience.
