Our client is a leading supplier of fabrication and welding consumables, industrial gases, PPE, and associated products, servicing industrial, mining, construction, manufacturing, trade, and private sector customers throughout the region.
We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Branch Manager to lead the Port Hedland operation and drive continued growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive branch revenue growth through strategic pricing, margin management, and commercial decision-making.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across industrial, trade, mining, construction, and manufacturing sectors.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to maximise account growth, retention, and long-term partnerships.
- Manage branch profitability, budgets, operating costs, and overall financial performance.
- Oversee day-to-day branch operations, including distribution, retail sales, inventory management, and stock control.
- Lead contract negotiations and effectively manage customer agreements and pricing structures.
- Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements to implement successful sales and growth strategies.
- Represent the business within the local market, building industry networks and strategic partnerships.
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and operational procedures.
- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop branch employees to achieve performance targets and build future capability.
- Monitor and improve customer service standards to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- Prepare and review branch performance reports, sales forecasts, and operational metrics.
- Ensure efficient inventory management and product availability to support customer requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across sales, operations, safety, and customer service functions.
- Act as the primary point of contact for key customer relationships and major commercial opportunities.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience in Branch Management, Operations Management, or Business Development within industrial, trade, welding, gas, manufacturing, mining, or related sectors.
- Strong B2B sales and account management experience with a demonstrated track record of revenue growth.
- Experience managing budgets, P&L performance, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations.
- Proven leadership experience, including coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams.
- Knowledge of industrial products, welding consumables, gas products, safety equipment, or related technical industries (highly regarded).
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify growth opportunities and improve profitability.
- Experience using ERP and CRM systems (SAP experience advantageous).
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- Full Australian working rights.
Location Requirement
This is a residential role based in Port Hedland.
Applicants must currently reside in Port Hedland or be willing to relocate.
FIFO candidates will not be considered.
