A well-established industrial manufacturing facility based in Crestmead is seeking a qualified A-Grade Electrician to join their team on an ongoing basis. This is a long-term opportunity offering stability, consistent hours, and a strong team culture within a leading manufacturing environment.

About the Role

You will be responsible for maintaining and supporting electrical systems across the production facility to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting scheduled electrical preventative maintenance (PMs)
  • Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical faults on drives and PLC systems
  • Performing and documenting periodic electrical testing
  • Fault finding, repairs, and upgrades to electrical plant and equipment
  • Managing critical spares and ensuring compliance with Australian Standards
  • Responding to electrical breakdowns to minimise downtime and support production targets
  • Reading, interpreting, and updating electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Ensuring all work complies with WHS requirements, site procedures, and Australian Standards
  • Participating in plant shutdowns, commissioning, and decommissioning activities
  • Assisting with continuous improvement initiatives to improve plant reliability, safety, and efficiency
  • Providing after-hours support when required (very infrequent)

About You

You will ideally have:

  • Australian recognised Electrical Trade Qualification (A-Grade Electrician)
  • Current Queensland Electrical Licence
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Forklift Licence
  • Ability to pass Drug & Alcohol Screening
  • Demonstrated experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Strong fault-finding skills on electrical plant, motors, drives, and PLC-controlled systems
  • Experience with preventative and breakdown maintenance
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
  • Experience with commissioning, upgrades, and modifications of electrical equipment
  • Sound knowledge of Australian Electrical Standards and WHS requirements
  • Experience using CMMS or maintenance management systems (desirable)
