We’re hiring on behalf of our client a respected timber manufacturer based in Bathurst for an experienced Forklift Operator to support their busy site operations.
In this role, you’ll operate forklifts to load and unload timber, transport materials to designated areas, and assist with preparing and dispatching orders. You’ll maintain accurate stock records, ensure correct labelling and documentation, and inspect goods for quality before dispatch.
The ideal candidate will hold a current forklift licence, have proven experience in a warehouse or despatch environment, and demonstrate a strong focus on safety, teamwork, and communication.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate forklifts to load and unload timber from trucks, storage areas, and production lines.

Transport materials to designated areas, ensuring efficient site flow and safe stacking practices.

Work closely with the despatch team to prepare and dispatch customer orders accurately and on time.

Verify that all outgoing products are correctly labelled, documented, and aligned with dispatch instructions.

Maintain accurate records of stock movements and report any inventory discrepancies promptly.

Oversee proper stock rotation and placement to optimise storage and minimise damage.

Inspect timber for damage or defects before dispatch and report any quality concerns.
Experience, Qualifications & Skills

Current Forklift Licence(essential).

Proven experience as a Despatch or Forklift Operator within a warehouse or manufacturing environment Timber (preferred).

Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a proactive attitude.

Competent in using basic technology and warehouse systems for tracking and reporting.
