Our client is a specialist welding and industrial gas supplier serving trade, fabrication, engineering, construction and industrial customers across the Northern Territory. Providing a comprehensive range of welding equipment, consumables, industrial and shielding gases, machinery hire, servicing and technical support.

We’re looking for a proactive, approachable and professional person to join our sales team in a Front Counter role, servicing Winnellie and the greater region. The successful candidate will be reliable, customer-focused and confident working with trade customers, providing friendly service and supporting the team with day-to-day sales and customer enquiries.

What you will be doing:

• Serve customers at the front counter
• Handle counter and phone sales, enquiries and product requests
• Process customer orders, sales transactions and quotations through SAP/Computer systems
• Promote and upsell products
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with trade, industrial and welding customers
• Provide basic product advice and develop knowledge of processes and equipment
• Maintain accurate stock levels
• Receive, pick, pack and dispatch goods
• Manual tasks – loading and unloading
• Maintain displays and ensure showroom is kept presentable
• Assist with general branch operations
• Resolve customer issues and complaints
• Follow WHS, Safety and Operational Procedures at all times

What this means for you:

• Steady, ongoing, Monday to Friday 7.30am to 4.30pm
• Weekly payroll
• $36.11/hr, plus penalty rates and 12% Superannuation

• Previous experience in customer service, including sales
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Strong customer service focus
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
• Willingness to learn product range
• Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical and Drug and Alcohol Screen
• Clean National Police Clearance
