About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Multi-Drop Delivery Driver to deliver gas cylinders to private residences and small businesses across Mackay and the surrounding region. This role involves operating a flat-top 8–14 tonne truck, with the opportunity to be trained in LPG tanker deliveries to commercial and domestic customers.
The role also includes manual handling tasks such as filling and cleaning cylinders, along with general yard duties as required.
Key Features
- 4:00am – 6:00am start times
- Approximately 8-hour days (with potential for additional hours)
- Ongoing casual role with penalty rates
- Base rate: $42.50 per hour
- Overtime opportunities available
- Weekly pay cycle
- Opportunity to upskill into LPG tanker driving, including support to obtain a Dangerous Goods Licence
Duties of the Role
- Deliver gas cylinders to residential and business customers
- Safely swap empty cylinders for full ones
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries
- Plan and navigate delivery routes and traffic conditions
- Manually fill gas bottles and assist with general yard work
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- Current HR Truck Licence
- Multi-drop delivery experience (advantageous)
- Clean driving record (must be provided prior to interview)
- Physically fit, with ability to pass drug & alcohol screening and pre-employment medical
- National Police Clearance with no disclosable offences
- Happy to complete a medical
- Strong customer service skills with face-to-face interaction
- Reliable and punctual with strong time management
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Must reside within 30 minutes of Mackay
