We are currently seeking experienced HR Waste Collection Drivers to join a fast-paced, high-performing operation servicing major Brisbane City Council contracts across Brisbane. This is a casual ongoing opportunity with consistent full-time hours, strong earning potential, and genuine temp-to-perm pathways available for reliable, safety-focused drivers.
With over 50 agency staff currently on site and ongoing demand due to workload increases and performance-based growth, this operation offers long-term opportunities within one of Australia’s leading waste management companies.

• $56.72 per hour time & a half
• $74.44 per hour double time
• 12-hour night shifts from 12am – 12pm
• Double time from 12am–2am
• Time & a half from 2am–4am
• Overtime rates paid again at end of shift

The role:
You will be operating HR waste collection trucks throughout Brisbane, completing commercial waste and skip bin collections before returning loads back to depot. This is a physically demanding, fast-paced role requiring strong safety awareness, reliability, and professionalism.
Key responsibilities include:
• Operating rear lift or front lift waste trucks
• Commercial waste collection throughout Brisbane metro areas
• Completing pre-start and post-start vehicle checks
• Maintaining NHVR driving hours and fatigue compliance
• Manual handling including pushing and pulling bins
• Communicating professionally with the public and stakeholders
• Working long 12-hour night shifts in a safety-focused environment
To be successful, you will have:
• HR licence with minimum 1 year experience in a similar role
• Previous waste industry experience highly desirable
• Rear lift truck experience preferred
• Strong commitment to road safety and safe work practices
• Experience with multidrop driving in large vehicles
• Good knowledge of Brisbane / South-East QLD routes advantageous
• Reliable attitude and strong work ethic
To be successful, candidates must also be willing to complete a full pre-employment medical, police check, drug & alcohol testing, and provide a current driving history report. Successful applicants will also be required to complete HEPA, HEPB, and Q-Fever vaccinations as part of onboarding.
