Our client is Australia’s leading supplier of Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) for residential, commercial, and light industry customers in Australia and New Zealand, being the leading provider and has developed safe, sustainable, and innovative energy solutions for more than 350,000 homes and businesses across a variety of applications and industry sectors.

The Temp to Permanent opportunity for a Logistics Scheduler, being accountable for the planning, coordination, and optimisation of bulk Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) distribution to domestic and commercial customers. The role is essential in maintaining supply reliability, operational efficiency, cost control, and full compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

What this role means for you:

  • Monday to Friday – 8-10hr shifts, with some after-hours as required
  • $40-$42/hrs, negotiable, plus Penalty Rates

Responsibilities of this role:

  • Working in close relationship with the National Scheduling team.
  • Build daily/weekly/periodical Bulk delivery routes and schedules using approved Logistics management software and allocate to drivers.
  • Optimise runs for delivery time windows, site constraints, access/handling risks, and driver competencies and contract requirements.
  • Balance workload across fleet and shifts to minimise empty kilometres, manual handling risk, and overtime.
  • Contact with sales, customer service, exchange, and SNG schedulers to ensure compliance
  • Compliance management for Terminal loading slots, fleet utilisation, multi-drop routing, Driver hours, and Logbooks
  • Maintain visibility of backlog and carryovers; create recovery plans where required.
  • Meet safety, service, and cost-effective KPI’s

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience in transport scheduling/dispatch (cylinders, LPG, Fuel, FMCG) or similar heavy-vehicle operations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong route optimisation and sequencing.
  • Solid understanding of CoR, fatigue, mass/dimension, load design, manual-handling risk controls and site safety.
  • Confident communicator with drivers, sales, workshops, and customers.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Conflict management.
  • Early starts and peak/ after-hours coverage.
  • Participation in toolbox talks, incident reviews, and online training.
  • Able to pass a Medical and Drug & Alcohol Screening.
  • Must be able to present a clean National Police Clearance.
  • Live within a viable travel distance to Lytton.
