Our client a Leading Name in the Timber industry is seeking a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of electrical systems and equipment within a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a commitment to safety, and the flexibility to support both reactive and proactive maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities

Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns to minimize production downtime.

Perform scheduled preventative and corrective maintenance on a wide range of electrical and automation equipment.

Support production start-up and shift changeovers by ensuring electrical systems and machinery are operating safely and efficiently.

Participate in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment and upgrades as part of project work.

Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults, including PLCs, motor control systems, sensors, and control panels.

Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to ensure continuous improvement of plant operations.

Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Adhere strictly to WHS (Work Health and Safety) regulations and company policies.
Skills and Experience Required
-
Trade qualification as an A-Class Electrician(Essential).

Valid Electrical Licence for SA or NSW (or ability to obtain recognition across states).

Demonstrated industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience (minimum 3 years preferred).

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills in high-pressure environments.

Experience with automated production lines and control systems (PLC experience highly desirable).

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.

Sound understanding of WHS and electrical safety regulations.

Flexible to work rotating shifts, overtime, and be part of an on-call roster if required.
