We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Engineer to join a growing industrial processing operation in Warren, NSW. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this role will see you become a key member of the site leadership team while driving maintenance reliability, continuous improvement and operational performance.

This is more than a traditional maintenance role. As the site's second-in-charge (2IC), you will provide technical expertise, support day-to-day operations and play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient running of the plant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage preventative maintenance programs.
  • Perform mechanical maintenance on plant equipment including pumps, conveyors, valves and rotating equipment.
  • Diagnose faults and coordinate repairs to minimise downtime.
  • Support planned shutdowns and breakdown maintenance activities.
  • Provide operational support to production teams.
  • Act as shift leader when required.
  • Support OH&S systems, risk management and compliance activities.
  • Maintain maintenance records, work orders and spare parts inventory.
  • Identify and implement reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support plant upgrades, modifications and commissioning projects.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Experience within an industrial, manufacturing, processing or heavy industry environment.
  • Strong mechanical maintenance and fault-finding capability.
  • Experience working with preventative maintenance systems.
  • Fabrication and workshop experience.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • The ability to lead by example and support operational teams.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Electrical troubleshooting experience will be highly regarded.

What's On Offer

  • Attractive salary package based on experience.
  • Relocation assistance available for the right candidate.
  • Opportunity to work closely with senior site leadership.
  • Career progression into broader operational and leadership responsibilities.
  • Stable full-time employment with a growing business.
  • Regional lifestyle opportunity with a strong community feel.

If you're looking for a role where you can combine technical expertise with leadership responsibility and be part of a team focused on safety, reliability and continuous improvement, we would love to hear from you.
