Our client, Australia's leed seed provider are seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter for their site located in Toowoomba.

About the Duties:

• Perform scheduled, preventative and reactive maintenance on seed processing and packaging equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and complete breakdown repairs
• Maintain and repair conveyors, bearings, motors, pumps, gearboxes, rollers and other plant machinery.
• Inspect equipment and identify worn, damaged or unsafe components requiring repair or replacement.
• Carry out fitting, fabrication, welding and minor equipment modifications as required.
• Install, align and commission replacement parts, machinery and mechanical components.
• Assist with planned shutdowns, major servicing and plant improvement projects.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, inspections, parts used and completed repairs.

About You:

• Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter, Fitter and Turner, or equivalent
• Previous maintenance experience within manufacturing, agriculture, food production or a similar industrial environment
• Strong experience diagnosing mechanical faults and completing breakdown repairs
• Experience maintaining conveyors, bearings, pumps, gearboxes, motors and production machinery
• Sound knowledge of preventative maintenance and planned servicing procedures
• Welding, fabrication and equipment modification experience.
