Looking for fit, reliable and hardworking people who aren’t afraid of physical work? We’re seeking Mill Labourers to join our client’s busy timber production operation in Kuitpo, SA.
🌳 WORK FOR A NATIONAL TIMBER LEADER
Our client is Australia’s No. 1 supplier of structural and treated timber nationally, supplying quality timber products across the country with product ranging from 🪵 DAR H3 LOSP – Dressed All Round timber treated against decay and insects, 🌲 Treated decking, 🏠 Untreated framing, and 🪵 Timber sleepers
This is a great opportunity to join a well-established national timber operation and become part of a hardworking production team.
💰 GREAT RATES
- Ordinary Rate: $35.00 per hour
- Overtime: $39.20 – $70.00 per hour, depending on the applicable overtime rate and hours worked.
- ⚠️ Some overtime may be required, so flexibility is important.
🔨 THE ROLE
You’ll be working as part of the production team, helping keep timber moving safely and efficiently.
Duties include:
- 🪵 Manual handling of timber products throughout the production area
- 📦 Stacking and sorting selected timber sizes into designated trolleys
- 🛠️ Assisting with handling timber around saw and cutting areas
- 💪 Performing repetitive production and general labouring duties
- 🧹 Maintaining a clean and organised work area
- ♻️ Removing timber offcuts and debris
- 🦺 Working safely in a dusty and noisy sawmill environment while wearing required PPE
- 👷 Following site procedures, WHS requirements and supervisor instructions at all times
✅ WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
You must be:
- 💪 Fit and healthy and capable of performing physically demanding manual work
- ⏰ Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- 🦺 Safety-focused and willing to follow workplace procedures
- 🤝 A team player with a positive attitude
- 🇦🇺 Able to demonstrate full working rights in Australia
- 🧪 Able to pass random Drug & Alcohol screening
- 🔨 Comfortable working in a dusty, noisy and physically demanding environment
🚜 Forklift licence/experience is a PLUS, but not essential.
Previous labouring, production or timber experience is an advantage.
