Multiskilled Operator – Stapylton Landfill
Ongoing Role | 4/4 Roster | $43.39 per hour + Overtime

Our client is a global leader in environmental services, specialising in waste management, recycling, and resource recovery. Operating at the Stapylton landfill site, Veolia plays a key role in managing and processing waste materials in a safe, sustainable, and efficient manner.

In this role, you will be working within an active landfill and recycling environment, handling a variety of waste streams including general waste, construction materials, and recyclable products. A strong focus is placed on safe machine operation, material movement, and maintaining site efficiency.

Veolia is predominantly seeking candidates with strong Excavator and Dozer experience and relevant tickets, as these are critical to the day-to-day operations of the site.

Key Features:

• $43.39 per hour (Level 8)

• Overtime paid after 8 hours per shift

• Overtime rates apply to weekend work

• Additional overtime shifts available

• 4 days on / 4 days off roster

• 10-hour shifts (6:30am – 5:00pm)

• Ongoing, stable employment

• Requirement of medical & police check required

Key Responsibilities:
You will be operating a range of machinery across a busy landfill and recycling site, supporting daily waste management operations.

Primary equipment includes:

• Excavators (15–30 tonne) with various attachments

• Dozers (various sizes for pushing and moving waste, soil, and materials)

• Articulated Dump Truck (Moxy)

• Compactor

A large portion of your role will involve excavator and dozer operation, including:

• Moving and compacting waste

• Managing landfill cells and material placement

• Supporting recycling and recovery processes

Requirements:

• Recent experience as a Multiskilled Operator (essential)

• Strong Excavator and Dozer operating experience (critical requirement)

• Relevant tickets/licences for Excavator and Dozer (must-have)

• Additional tickets for Moxy and Compactor highly regarded

• Current Driver’s Licence

• Experience in landfill, waste management, quarry or similar environments highly regarded

• Comfortable working in landfill and recycling conditions

• Reliable, punctual, and strong work ethic

PPE Requirements:

• Long sleeve workwear

• High visibility shirt

• Steel capped boots
