Shift Supervisor / Plant Operator

Location: Warren, NSW
Roster: Rotating Shift Work – 24/7 Operation
Employment Type: Full-Time

Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Shift Supervisor / Plant Operator to join their team in Warren. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing plant operations during your shift, ensuring production targets, safety standards, and operational requirements are achieved.

Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, you will lead a team of operators while maintaining the efficient and safe operation of the production facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate production staff during your allocated shift

  • Monitor and control plant operations through the SCADA control system

  • Ensure production processes are operating efficiently and within specifications

  • Respond to operational and maintenance issues as they arise

  • Liaise with maintenance personnel to minimise downtime and resolve plant issues

  • Complete shift reporting and communicate operational updates to management

  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across the site

  • Ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety, environmental and operational procedures

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the plant

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a Shift Supervisor, Production Supervisor or Plant Operator role

  • Experience working within an industrial processing, manufacturing, utilities, mining, water treatment, food processing, or similar plant environment

  • Exposure to SCADA systems or automated process control systems

  • Strong leadership and people management skills

  • Sound mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities

  • Commitment to workplace safety and compliance

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 operation
