Our client, is a leading supplier of industrial and specialty gases, welding equipment, safety products and technical solutions across Australia. With more than a century of industry experience they support a diverse range of industries, including manufacturing, construction, mining, healthcare and food production. They are currently seeking an experienced Trades Counter Person to join their team at their Paget branch in Mackay. This is an ongoing opportunity offering consistent full-time hours, with the chance to develop your skills and grow your career within an established industry leader.

  • Monday to Friday 7:30am to 4:30pm
  • $38.89 per hour
  • Paget, Mackay Location

Key Responsibilities:

  • First point of contact for customers entering the branch
  • Assisting customers with product enquiries, pricing and availability
  • Answering phone and email enquiries
  • Processing customer orders
  • Assisting customers with any issues and providing solutions
  • Assisting with stock control and inventory enquires
  • Using SAP for processing orders, invoicing, stock management and customer enquiries
  • Branch housekeeping as needed

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in customer service, front counter, retail or internal sales
  • Experience processing customer orders, invoices and purchase orders
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build rapport
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Current driver's licence and reliable transport
  • Ability to complete a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing
