Our client, a respected leader in the industrial gases and equipment sector, is currently seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative / Retail Sales Representative to join their team based in Kunda Park. This is a hands-on role with approximately 80% warehouse responsibilities and 20% customer service and sales support.

About the Role:

This position is ideal for candidates with a solid background in warehouse or yard operations who also feel comfortable engaging with customers in a retail setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of tasks including inventory handling, gas cylinder preparation, and general warehouse duties, along with occasional front counter and phone-based customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake general warehouse operations including stock control, preparation, and dispatch
  
• Handle and move gas cylinders (up to 20kg) safely and efficiently
  
• Assist with customer collections and deliveries
  
• Inspect, test, and tag cylinders when faults are identified
  
• Support basic customer interactions at the front counter and over the phone
  
• Complete invoicing and basic administration tasks using internal systems
  

Requirements:

• Forklift Licence highly desirable (or willingness to obtain)
  
• Current Driver’s Licence and reliable transport
  
• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or yard-based role (minimum 2 years preferred)
  
• Physically fit and capable of meeting manual handling requirements
  
• Basic computer literacy for admin and stock management tasks
  
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and ability to work independently or as part of a small team
  
• Previous experience with gas products is an advantage but not essential
