We're hiring on behalf of our client, a respected Scaffolding supplier to the construction industry, based in Stapylton, QLD for an experienced Forklift Operator to support their busy site operations.

In this role, you'll use forklift and other material-handling equipment to load, unload, move, and stack, and retrieve scaffolding components. You'll move materials between different yard/storage areas, prepare loads for deliveries, and return unused or damaged items to storage. Tasked with keeping the yard tidy, safe and well organised.

The ideal candidate will have a valid Forklift Licence and experience in a yard, warehouse environment, or construction materials environment with manual handling/labouring experience, while being comfortable lifting, stacking, and moving heavy items like steel or scaffolding components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate forklifts to load and unload, move, stack, and retrieve scaffolding components.
• Keep the yard tidy, safe, and well organised, stacking materials neatly, separating damaged parts, and ensuring walkways and access paths are clear.
• Transfer materials between different yards/storage areas, and prepare loads for deliveries.
• Sweep, remove debris, dispose of waste or scrap, and maintain general yard cleanliness.
• Help keep track of scaffolding inventory.

Essential Requirements:

• Current Forklift Licence (essential)
• Proven experience as a Forklift Operator within a warehouse or construction materials environment.
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
• Manual handling/Labouring experience, being comfortable lifting, stacking and moving heavy items like steel or scaffolding components.
• Scaffolding or Construction Industry exposure is advantageous. Knowing how scaffold parts are used, stored and keeping them in good condition.
• Basic Inventory/Stock Control experience in understanding how to maintain accurate records, sort and keep records of materials.
• Must have the ability to pass on-the-spot Drug & Alcohol Screening.

Position Details:

• Full-time, ongoing
• Monday to Friday 6.30am - 2.36pm with the option of Overtime
• $38.00/hr with OT at $53.20/hr
• Penalty rates for Public Holidays if required
• Weekly payroll
• Start Date: ASAP
